A shift rotation calendar that stays on your phone
Last updated: 5 August 2026
Shift Cycle does not collect your data. There is no account, no server holding your roster, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. Everything you enter stays on your device.
Nothing.
We do not operate a backend. We do not collect personal information, usage analytics, crash telemetry, advertising identifiers, location data, contacts, or any other information about you or your work.
There is no sign-up, because there is nothing to sign up to.
The following is stored locally and is never transmitted to us:
| Data | Where it lives |
|---|---|
| Your rotation and its shift types | On your device |
| Individual day changes and notes | On your device |
| Your hourly rate, if you enter one | On your device |
| Your language preference | On your device |
If you use the home screen widget, the next fortnight of your roster is also written to a shared container on your own device so the widget can draw it. It does not leave the phone.
Deleting the app removes all of it. We cannot recover it, because we never had it.
Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, your email address, or your payment details.
To know whether you have paid, the app uses RevenueCat, which validates the receipt Apple issues. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier and the purchase receipt. It does not receive your roster, your shifts, your notes or your pay rate — those never leave your device and there is no mechanism by which they could.
RevenueCat’s own privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy
The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, of any age.
Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct, export and erase personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to request — your data is already entirely in your own hands, on your own device.
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes with it. Any change that would involve collecting data — which is not planned — would be announced in the app before it took effect, not buried here.
