I read and reply to every message, usually within a day. If something is wrong, tell me what you were doing when it happened and which iPhone you are on — that is almost always enough to find it.
Do I have to pay for anything? No. Scoring is free and stays free: 301, 501 and 701, straight or double in and out, up to eight players, first to 1/3/5/7 legs, checkout suggestions, the bot at any average, and your statistics. There are no adverts anywhere.
Then what is Darts Pro? One feature: big board mode. Turn the phone sideways, prop it on a shelf, and both players read the score from the oche. It is a one-time purchase. A yearly subscription exists as an alternative for people who prefer it, but the one-time purchase never turns into one.
Does the bot cheat? No, and that is the point. Set it to any three-dart average between 25 and 100 and it throws that average, whether it is winning or losing. It never adapts to your score. The behaviour is covered by automated tests.
Where are my matches stored? On your phone, and nowhere else. No account, no server, nothing uploaded. That also means: if you delete the app, the matches go with it.
I bought Pro and it is not showing. Open Settings → Restore purchase in the app. It restores Pro on any device signed in to the same Apple Account. If it still does not appear, email me.
Why is the caller in English when the app is in my language? Because that is what darts callers actually say. The German federation’s own rulebook prescribes the call untranslated — “Game Shot” — and “No score” is the referee’s call for a bust everywhere. The caller is off by default; you can turn it on in Settings.
Does it use the camera or the microphone? Neither. It cannot: the app requests no such permission. It plays a caller’s voice, it never records one.
